So many of the articles and comments (Trev A.) have talked about the "powerful" OU offense so I decided to look at the numbers:
Team Avg/Play TD's FG's Total Yds/Gm Red Zone O
OSU 6.6 40 8 444.6 93.8%
OU 6.5 37* 16 459.9 87.2%
*OU has apparently missed 4 PAT's while OSU has not missed one.
They way I view the numbers everyone is talking about the wrong offense.
GO POKES! BEAT OU!

The matchup of this game will be our offense vs. their defense.
We NEED to be able to run the football. Not only to score points, but to keep their offense off the field.

Ok, our O vs. their D"
The average rank of their (OU) opponents offense would be #59 in the nation. Texas was the only offense ranked in the top 5 (#3), Mizz is #24, CU is #63, Bama is #64, N. Texas is #54, UCLA #81, Fresno St. #82, ISU #97.
I don't think they will stop our offense.
Our offense is #5 in the nation.

well since ou missed three pats they should probably be ranked last overall on offense because that makes all the difference.

"Attention OSU fans: Seats in OU's Staduim are reserved for humans so you cant bring your relatives"
That is really too bad because my uncle is a huge OU fan. I will let him know that though...

Let me welcome you Soonerfan1, but let also we remind you we have a Bedlam Board for comments like your last one. Keep it civil on this side of the board, or move over to the Bedlam Board. As a matter of fact, I will move this over there for you.

5968,
Let him go on, no offense taken by me. If you saw me you would understand the nickname.
OU built their #2 offense playing against the following D's
N. Texas #69, Bama #70, Fresno St. #80, UCLA #34, ISU #88, UT #47, Mizz #53, CU # 106 for an average of...#68

He was kind running amuck at the mouth... I also sent him a friendly 'sideline' warning. I'll let it go on this side of the board...but over there, the rules are simple... be semi nice, knowledgeable, or get out. You can state your opinion, but do it respectfully.
