Is there any quick way to create a .gif image from a video? It's nothing important, just something I think would be funny to have.
Just curious...

A screen capture program would do what you want wouldn't it? I've got MWSnap. It's free. Just google it.

I don't just want a still image, I am looking to make an animated gif without having to string together a series of screen shots...

oh. Got it. that right there shows that you are way ahead of me. The MWSnap site says something about gifs though, so you might find something there. I don't know much about this stuff, so ignore me if I'm being ignorant.

No need to be an ass. I was just trying to help and admitted that I may have been out of my league. What did you contribute to the conversation? Nothing but ass-ness.

I wasn't being an ass.
I was just saying that you certainly knew more than me, that is I knew nothing about MWSnap. So your reply passed your knowledge of this program on to me.
OK?

I have to admit that his tripping over the green transition is innovative and a bit funny.

Uh -- wow. I knew there was a reason I didn't want to look at that video on the front page.
Kaje -- it looks like you have the ability -- do you have the time to run a quick one for me? Shoot me a PM if you can hook me up.

What video format is it? I used Photoshop to convert the .mov to .gif and Photoshop is very limited in the video file formats it supports.

I haven't found a .mov yet. So far, all I've come across is the flv -- youtube and other imbedded flash stuff. I'll look some more and see if I can find anything useful.
