Sorry for the thread hijack. Actually I don't mind celebrities running for office, I would rather have them run for office than have them try to force their opinions on us while they are (intentionally) entertaining us.

I think the nasaly accept is an affectation for the character. I seem to recal hearing her speak like a normal person (well, a New Yorker, anyway) on occasion.

I didn't realize that she was (a minor) part of the diplomatic corps.
