On the big12baseball.com site there is a thread about a surprise signee that showedup the first day of class. I was wondering if we knew about him? Was he the Aussie or were they talking about hernandez? I was also wondering who we thought would play catcher and First. Looks like we have a lot of corner outfielders and some pitching talent. One very last question last spring Rex Holt was talking about a kid that was a centerfielder that was going to sign. Rex said that he was one of the fastest baseball player he has ever seen. He said that he could own the whole center because of his speed, and that he was a obvious base stealer. He said that he was also a very small player looked like a high schooler even though he played at a JUCO. I was wondering if you knew anything about him wheterh he got drafted or if he was coming here.

Big12Baseball is a good site for info, so I watch it pretty closely and when the news is OSU related I'll let everyone here know whats going on.

@C Right now I'd give the lead to clarkson due to Parrish's shakiness batting...

But I'll be able to say things with a little more certainty after I get a chance to better evaluate them at FallBall.

For the most part all info on outfielders doesn't say outside or center, but usually me and kunckles assume if he hits for power, he's an outside guy, which is the case 95% of the time. As far as speed OFers from JUCO, I'm not familiar with any, theres a chance he's one of the guys feelgood listed was announced at the baseball tailgate, I dunno. If I had to guess I'd say MLB though.

Found a good article on Chad Abernathy. Sounds like he could be a player. Hope things can work out for him in Stillwater.

The centerfielder I think I was talking about was Adrian Abraham from Clarendon JC. He was one of Petrie's last year and I don't kow who he signed with or if he was drafted.
