Damn, Roy, chill out a little. I am a big fan of Roy Williams, but that was a stupid move on his part. Definitely overreacted.

Huh...I'd never make it there. I used to heckle Bodecker from Texas whenever he shot free throws. The dirtiest basketball player that ever set foot on GIA. Only player I ever saw give cheaper shots was Patterson from Tennessee when he intentionally backed under Marcus Dove on a rebound and put Dove out for the year with a broken tail bone. He wasn't even called for a foul to boot. Eaton and Curry went on a scoring binge after that and we beat Tennessee in the Ford Center in OKC. Don't care for Bruce Pearl either, it appears he encourages dirty play from his bunch.

The issue isn't heckling the visiting team. Roy took exception to a fan of the visiting team heckling his player in the Dean Dome. He's still wrong though. If he threw me out, I'd sue him. He should be fair with his "kicking out" policy and apply it to his own fans who heckle the visiting team. I bought a ticket, I should be able to heckle a player; it doesn't matter what jersey they're wearing.

True that.

Did anyone see the follow-up statement from the athletic department? Supposedly, Roy did not ask security to kick the fan out, but to check his ticket to see why a visiting fan was behind the NC bench. Security determined that he was intoxicated and escorted him out per their standard policy. Slightly more understandable, but still a d-bag thing to do, IMO. You're pounding his team by 40 points, leave him alone unless he is being a nuisance.

Sounds like the time a ref at a Cowgirls game in GIA asked to have me thrown out, when I hadn't said anything offensive or vulgar. Pretty lame, if you ask me.

If you buy a ticket, you should have the right to say pretty much whatever you want. There are limits, of course, but what the guy said was not some kind of terrible offense.
Now, if the guy was drunk that's another thing. But if Roy is offending by something... that's too bad. It's part of the game!

I love it! When you go to somebody else's house, keep your mouth shut. I have a big mouth and I run it at opposing players in GIA, BPS, Allie P, etc... But when I go to an opponents venue I shut up real quick. Not because I can't back up my words, but out of respect. I don't want them to come to GIA and do the same thing.

HATED that Guy! Also never was a fan of Jason Klotz. Probably because he looked a little like Boddicker and Klotz came in around the same time he left. Also, remember him (Klotz) taunting fans in GIA.

True. But at least I'm not afraid to cheer when I'm on the road...

I cheer, but I keep the jackassery to a minimum. At home I'm a total ass, but on the road I just cheer like a normal person.
