I think that is wishfull thinking about him being a grad assistant. He has a slim chance of being drafted or maybe going overseas, but it would be great to have him on the bench next year. Great talking to you, give me a hollar if you see me on the boards, going to bed myself. Good Night!

If I get work lined out I'm going to try to drive up the 13th and back the 22nd. We'll see. And someone on the main board said that Page was going to be a Grad Assistant for Ford next year. That's be pretty cool!

Plan on making at least two games this next year. Dads weekend and I would like to see the first game against WVU! Will be down in Stillwater in April to see the kid and we will catch a softball game.

My apologies, again nice to see a sports lady!! Not into the NBA, but do follow the Thunder after Durant visited OSU for the flag football game. Jealous of the season football tickets. It is a 14 hour drive, so I try to get down to at least one or two games a year. I realize that Houston is not much closer, if any........

        ostater2319
Oh heck it's a lot closer. If you don't pay any attention to those pesky speed limit signs you can make the drive in a little less than 8 hours. And no need to apologize..I realize I'm in the minority on the female sports fan thing. None of my girl friends are big sports fans. But my baby girl is!!

I have found my self trying to cheer for the sooners, but just can't. Use to support the Aggies, but they are dead to me since leaving the Big 12. Still can't root for the "land thieves", so I just ignored the game. Not to sound sexist, but glad to see a Cowgirl being an avid sports fan, Orange that is!!!!!!!

I laughed at that comment...I am a HUGE sports fan. College mostly (and the Thunder!). But I'll watch just about any. Have had season tickets for football for 32 years and even from Houston I make every home game. LOVE MY COWBOYS!

Curious what thing you did that does not have a statute of Limitation? So are you watching the Big 12 Tournament?
      1. ostater2319
        ostater2319
JOKING! I'm actually a very law abiding citizen. I do however break the speed limit on a regular basis. And could possibly have participated in underage drinking many moons ago! And yep, watching. Found myself actually wishing ou would win (GAG)....Go Big 12 and all that. Plus living here (and actually going to College Station for the game) I can tell you the Aggies are some weird folk!

Your comment on somethings have no SL's makes me want to break out the board though.

I live in Oil and Coal Country and those raping companies pay my bills. I am a native Okie and Oil is a natural as water to me. And don't be afraid of the law, I am sure whatever you did in Stillwater has past the statute of Limitations.

HA! Some things have no statute of limitations!!! And yeah, Oil is as natural as water to me too. Worked in the Oil Biz since I graduated. So what do you do in Corrections? Do you get to waterboard anyone? :)

Had to work my way through also. Our kids have it better! I graduated in 86 with a Criminology degree, work in Wyoming Corrections. You?

I SWEAR IT WASN'T ME!!! Oh wait, sorry...automatic reaction to the Corrections thing. :) Mine was a little less exciting...Accounting major. And I work for one of those big bad Oil companies that are raping the environment and making big huge piles of money (Note: SARCASM).

No, GDI like her Dad, no offense I hope. She is a Athletic Training Major. What did your kids major in?
      1. ostater2319
        ostater2319
Yep, GDI here too. Out of necessity more than choice though...had to work my tail off to pay my way through. My kids had it a whole lot easier! Daughter was HRAD and son was Accounting/Finance - MBA with an emphasis in Financial Risk Analysis. We have a very good friend who went through the Athletic Training program and loved it! He is now at Missouri Southern in Joplin.

Sounding often corny, but I did like the one in the middle. Is your daughter a student there? Mine is a sophomore at OSU this year.

        ostater2319
She was. Both my kids went there (raised right obviously!). She graduated in May and my son graduated in 2009 (BS) and also in May (MBA). Is your daughter in a sorority?

Oh on the picture, not mine, one I found and made me think of spring in Stillwater. Always loved blondes.

Which explains why you asked about my picture! 2 out of 3 are blonde. But the PRETTIEST (my daughter) is a brunette. :)

Have a conference down there for a week. Flying into George Bush. Always happy to see active Alumni outside of OKlahoma. I try to keep the Orange alive up here in Wyoming. Only a few alumni up here, but we are Orange and Loud.

There are sure a bunch of orange people here! Seems like every time I wear my orange (which is just about every day) I have someone stop and tell me about their connection to OSU (or the Mothership, as I call it).

Visiting? Teaching? Starting school? Probably a bit too far from Houston but if you are actually moving and want to get involved in the OSU Alumni Assn here let me know!

I was going to ask if that is you in your picture? :)
