Talk me down from my football expectations

    Color me shocked.

Talk me down from my football expectations

IF Illingsworth takes Sanders’s starting spot, Sanders will be looking for a new home. There is little doubt about that.

Talk me down from my football expectations

There is a difference between “he will not sit behind Sanders” and “if he is going to be behind Sanders until Sanders graduates, he will go somewhere else.” You stated both. I may ask RA via twitter if he actually said that. Seems pretty unlikely to make such a bold statement but hey, you said...

Talk me down from my football expectations

Haha the very first thing you said is that Illingsworth won’t sit behind Sanders...that was point blank it. And then your statements became convoluted. So he will sit behind Sanders...he just won’t sit behind him for the full extent of Sanders’s eligibility? Okay.

Talk me down from my football expectations

This is one hell of a backpedal. Or are you just now remembering RA saying all this as well? How did everyone else miss these tidbits from RA’s show???

Talk me down from my football expectations

You didn’t say anything at all about which season you are referencing. Try harder.

Talk me down from my football expectations

Again, as I stated, what was the context on how soon? If he doesn’t dethrone him this season? Next season? 2022?

Talk me down from my football expectations

When did RA say Illingsworth won’t sit behind Sanders? Do you have a link or something to that? And what’s the context? That he expects to start as a true freshman or else he is transferring? At what point in his career will he refuse to sit behind Sanders?

    BPS Seat Reconfiguration

This can’t possibly be?! It doesn’t fit the internet narrative! https://twitter.com/cowboyfb/status/1220372789041029120?s=21

Talk me down from my football expectations

I think it’s a bit more nuanced than that...and a lot also rides on how much Sanders has improved...just as 3rd down conversions last year rode on the shoulders of a brand new starting RS freshman QB. But I digress.

Talk me down from my football expectations

77th out of 130 teams means 53 teams did worse than we did. So, yes, it could be worse. And really, simply using 3rd down conversion rate as the sole, determining factor of situational playcalling success is a bit short-sighted. But even if you want to go that route, it’s all relative, isn’t...

Talk me down from my football expectations

It actually can get worse. Especially when the OC doesn’t have any experience whatsoever at calling plays.

Talk me down from my football expectations

In some cases, it’s justified and I get it. In other cases, it may be justified but it just isn’t going to happen. In this case, it wouldn’t be justified and there is no way it would happen.

Talk me down from my football expectations

Gundy isn’t getting fired. Let’s just take that off the table right now. It isn’t happening. And if OSU doesn’t get to the Big 12 championship, it will have a whole lot more to do with Sanders’s growth from Year 1 to Year 2 (or lack thereof) than any stupid internet cliche about Gundy. I’m...

    Wallace #97 and Hubbard #131

His vision and decision-making are his best strengths. People see the speed but don’t realize that he is only able to take advantage of that speed because of the two aforementioned strengths.

    Wallace #97 and Hubbard #131

Because he doesn’t play for a blue blood coinciding with he hasn’t built as much of a name for himself yet. Draft board “experts” are no more credible than the national talking heads that do very little research week in and week out.

    Wallace #97 and Hubbard #131

Justice Hill was three-four inches shorter than Hubbard. That makes it a much different case. Hubbard will likely be 6’1” and 215lbs by the time the combine comes around. That was around the same measurables that Adrian Peterson had and I think he did just fine with his size and weight at the...
