    Coronavirus pandemic non-socio-political discussions

Yeah, this has seemed like such a "duh" thing to me. If the primary reason for wearing a mask is to prevent spread then why the heck would you wear a mask with vents/valves that allow air to escape unfiltered?...

    OSSAA Board Meeting today

Yeah, PCO definitely got the better end of the deal... PCN made off pretty well too but if you think BPS is shoehorned in, then PCW stadium will make though think it ain't so bad... Talk about cramming in a stadium just for the sake of having a stadium... You're seeing that right. Visitor...

    OSSAA Board Meeting today

Putnam City is limiting capacity to 25% and only those in football, band and cheer/pom will be allowed to get tickets for their family members. PCW and PCN are limited 3 tickets each and PCO is limiting to 4. No tickets sold at the gates. Visiting teams allowed 200 tickets at West and North, 300...

    Android TV (suggestions?)

So after some researching it looks like there's a solid chance of Google releasing a Chromecast with physical remote later this year. I might just have to wait and see. [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

    Android TV (suggestions?)

Yeah, I know the remote is my phone. That doesn't do me any good if someone beside myself that doesn't have a phone setup on the network wants to use the TV though... I shouldn't have to have my own $300-$1000 "remote" that only works for me to operate it... Making it 100% controlled by a phone...

    Android TV (suggestions?)

So one of our FireTV remotes is going bad and since the replacement remote practically costs the same as a new Firestick I'm considering moving our living room FireTV into that room and getting a new device for the living room. Currently we have all FireTV devices which is handy since we have...

    Recommendations for Bluetooth Earbuds

The Jabra's do but it took me a second to figure it out. If you have BOTH pieces in your ears and remove one then it's going to pause. You can resume with just the 1 in your ear but if it senses the other earbud and thinks it's moved again, it'll pause again. If you only have 1 of them out of...

    Recommendations for Bluetooth Earbuds

I hope you like them! I actually got them as a work Christmas gift but would definitely pay my own money for them. They also have a white noise feature of you want to just pop them in and escape from the world for a bit. Lol. Definitely taken a nap or two during my lunch break with them...

    Recommendations for Bluetooth Earbuds

I have a pair of Jabra 65t's and I love em. They're noise isolating but also have a pass thru feature that uses the microphone on them to send the sounds through. So, you can either listen to music with no environmental noise (I use when mowing) or you can listen to music while still being able...

    Covid-19

Work stations have been brought up at our office when it became clear that our WFH wasn't going to be over in just a couple weeks. We own the building we're in though and have empty offices even when everyone is present, so I don't really see anything that would cause us to have to consolidate...

Huge Beirut explosion shatters windows across Lebanese capital

What do you mean? That's standard issue equipment for dock workers in Beirut!...

Huge Beirut explosion shatters windows across Lebanese capital

This is more around what I was alluding to. Storing a large quantity of highly explosive material on a port near town, between a fireworks warehouse and your grain silos and letting it sit there FOR SEVEN YEARS?... Just seems like a LOT of really bad decisions were made.

Huge Beirut explosion shatters windows across Lebanese capital

    George Floyd

It's dang near an identical situation. They shoot for the moon on the charges to make the mob happy but with no realistic chance of being successful. Then the mob can go on about how corrupt and broken the system is... Charge them with something you actually have enough evidence to convict with...

    The Market Thread

I don't have a whole lot of value discussion to add BUT I did check my 401(k) yesterday and I'm at a +.4% return for the year! That's a HELL of a lot better than the -30% I was at when all this crap hit in March...

    Covid-19

Basically how we're working right now. I think the only people that are being required to come in are the department managers. The rest of us are just coming in when we need to. They even let us bring home docks and an extra monitor to work on. 90% of my job I can do from home, I just...

    Covid-19

We've been mainly working from home (except for laborers) since March and they haven't ever tried to set an end date. I go in maybe once a week just to take care of some things that I physically have to be in the building for but I plan on continuing to work from home as long as I can...
