He sure put a lot of time, thought, and interest into an upcoming game that he feels is not going to be interesting. I'd betcha a hundred bucks that he's gonna watch it.

Amazing how the Worst team inthe Big 12 came within a whisker of Beating the Dawgs at home and a Big 12 game is disinterest...
Arrogant bastard.

This from a team that lost to the Vanderbilt Commodores?

The same team that's travelling to football "powerhouse" Kentucky this weekend? I didn't even know Kentucky had a team, I thought they just played basketball ... Jackass!

Our team just needs to play a full four quarters of top notch football or this turd burglar could be right, a fourth time.

Why, then, is this the national game of disinterest?

Because there is absolutely no halftime score that could cause me to believe that Oklahoma State is winning this game.
The writer may be right. But he might want to ask the Husker players who came within one play of knocking off Texas if they think OSU has a chance.

Arrogant bastard is absolutely right. What a jackass, this crap coming from a team that beat the worst team in the Big XII by 1 point and lost to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is to the SEC what Baylor is for the Big XII South (or what they used to be, anyway...they're probably back down there again after losing Shawn Bell though).

Beat Vanderbilt, then you can talk a little bit. Beat Florida and Tennessee (and Colorado by more than 1 point) and then you can spew that nonsense.

Georgia is the perennial overhyped disappointment of college football, they have absolutely no room to talk.

Hey now.. there's a couple of Bulldog fans here... let me first say that this guy absolutely in no way speaks for the Bulldog Nation. He is an idiot. Nothing more, nothing less.

Georgia is down this year. Richt has made an absolute mess of the QB situation, which I talked about in this forum before the beginning of the season. It is disappointing, but not unlike the mess that Gundy made last year. If you're going to hand the keys to the rookie because of his upside, do it from the beginning of camp so that he gets the most reps. If you're going to hand it to the experienced but unspectacular vet do it from the beginning of camp. The two-QB system seldom works.

The Bulldogs have underperformed this year. But they are NOT perennially overrated or overhyped - they have won 2 SEC championships in the past 5 years, 12 conference championships total, and 1 MNC. If that makes them overrated then what are the Pokes?

ohhhhhhhhhh, RxC is a little sensitive.

Actually, I thought the article was kind of amusing---but he must not have a real job if he can spend this much time on a game of disinterest.

It seems like most years since Herschel Walker left, Georgia is ranked in the top 10 in the polls and are mentioned as contenders for a national championship. Then during the course of the year they lose a game to a team they should beat (like Vanderbilt this year) and have trouble putting other teams away. They do usually rebound very late in the year and battle their way to the SEC title game, but they just never live up to the national title aspirations. I believe that qualifies for being at least a little bit overrated.

And it's hard to say OSU is overrated when we weren't even ranked to begin with, but yet knocked off a top-25 team.

The SEC and the SEC East in particular is brutal. But c'mon, there are plenty of teams every year that have true MNC aspirations, and only one of them wins it. Winning an SEC Championship while falling short of an MNC is hardly overhyped.

And I couldn't be more proud of my Pokes than I am right now. I hope we can get to the point where someone can call us perenially overhyped. But right at the moment under-rated seems to fit just right.

From what I understand Georgia fans are pretty much the equivalent to OU fans. I've heard horror stories of them literally barking at GT fans.

I've always thought that Georgia is year in and year out the most overrated football team in the country. They are one of the few teams that deserves the "overrated" chant. Really sad that they're arrogant enough to write stuff like this. Actually, it's quite comical, kinda like Baylor fans chanting "jail-bird" toward JamesOn Curry in Waco last year. How can you chant that when one of your players shot his own teammate, haha.

Actually, the guy is pretty funny, and responded well to an OSU fan rebuke. The numbers are incredibly amazing. Given our past against UT, you've gotta take this type of blather with a sense of humor. Giving up a 5 touchdown lead is almost unbelievable in college football. Unfortunately (for OSU fans) almost.

I thought it was funny.

Some of you guys are just wound a little too tight.

Let me ask you this though:

If we are ahead 35 to nothing and Texas scores to end the half, are YOU not concerned about blowing another lead? If you aren't, you are either arrogant, or ignorant.

If Texas then scores on the opening drive? What then? What if they scored on their first two drives and then the score is 35 - 21 in the third?

You can't tell me that every cowboy fan, every texas fan, and everyone else watching in the entire country is NOT THINKING, "HERE WE GO AGAIN!".

That guy was just trying to write something entertaining and while he was a little bit repetitive in trying to make his point, I think he acheived his objective.

===================

Separation of Team from Self is the first step back into reality.
