What part of that statement was incorrect? You guys have nobody in your 2012 class with an OU offer, but you guys still have a really good class

Nice, that's good to hear. He seemed like a really good kid on the MTV show about him last year

Shoot, I just read the back-end of the quote you posted haha. And again, I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but you don't know how bad the coaches want each player. Most teams send out a bunch of offers, but they aren't committable offers and a lot depends on what happens with other players.

A good example for that right now is Quanzell Lambert, OU's LB target for the 2012 class. He has an offer from Alabama right now, but he won't if they land one of the guys they want more than him.

Neither do you. Don't just assume that OU didn't want them very badly because they went to OSU instead of OU. That is arrogant, whether you are trying to sound like it or not.

I think you are a good Sooner poster, one of the less arrogant ones, but this is all pure arrogance really.

Meh, that's not what I meant and I'm just being misunderstood. I'm just saying that since I didn't follow the recruitment of any of those players besides Herschel Sims and Shaun Lewis I don't really know what the situation was. OU's staff could have either wanted the player bad, or like Lambert's situation with Alabama there are other guys they would rather take. If Sims would have taken the OU offer before Williams he would be a Sooner and I heard Sims liked OU, but then again I'm not sure who his favorite schools were to begin with

I'm not trying to say that OSU gets 'players that OU doesn't want' by any means at all. My bad if I came across that way.

I feel like this whole thread has been you making claims, then people proving you are wrong, then you try to back out of your statements and then repeat the process.

Man I hate arguing with goons when we are simply discussing our recruiting for next year.

What did I say that was proven wrong? I never said that OSU doesn't get players that OU offers, I said that I can't remember very many recent OU offers that went to OU.

That list that the guy provided of 10 recruits with OU offers spans over the last 5 years. That averages 2 players per year with an OU offer.

I'm not here to bag on you're recruiting classes, and have complimented it several times in this thread. You guys are just too defensive

In your argument it seems as you were claiming as you can't remember as their hasn't been any and then you use this year trying to back up that claim, then when you were shown you were wrong you backed out then switched subjects towards Sims. With Sims you were claiming he wanted to go to OU instead of OSU but because you all withdrew your offer but I can find no such information that it occurred. I feel like once again you were speaking ignorantly because this year you all gave a walk-on RB from Langston a scholarship. I would think if still available OU would prefer to give a scholarship to Herschel Sims. I don't know enough about the Trey Metoyer situation but it is hard for me to believe that his grades dropped so quickly that he had to go juco route, it would seem that UT just didn't offer him because he didn't meet their academic requirements.

There was nothing I said that was ignorant at all. We were taking one RB in last years class, and we did. Whaley was our best all-around back and won the starting job and two runninbacks behind him decided to transfer freeing up two extra scholarships.

LOL at Texas' academic standards. If players like Vince Young and Jamaal Charles could get into UT with their awful grades so could Metoyer. And Metoyer was expected to qualify and it was actually a surprise that he didn't but he will be at OU in January and with 5 years to play 4. Trey was such a highly regarded prospect that you offer him no matter what.

Good god. Let's stop whining about OU this, Texas that. This was not about OU or Texas. This thread was to talk about OSU 2013 offers so shut up and stop the bickering.

I doubt we get Tuley-Tillman or Oliver. I read somewhere that Oliver was an Aggy legacy (I might be wrong though). Mustafaa had us in his top 5 in a scout article.

You sure don't follow football. We are one of the worst defenses in the nation. In fact we are not defensive enough.

I think you would have terrible recruiting classes if that were the case.
