ESPN has a good write up on Ranthony (post OSU JR day) Am I allowed to post premium content? Not sure of the rules.

Dad Ranthony said they were impressed with everything from coaching staff down to the football field. They ate in the suites overlooking the stadium. Says the weight room is by far the best they have ever seen. They've been told OSU DB Coaches will come watch Ranthony during his SR year practices. Also, they've been invited to games in the fall. Overall, it was a fantastic visit for the Texada family. They are patiently waiting and praying this works out.

He's been invited to TX Tech this weekend. They don't know if they'll go or not. I told him if he wants to be a loser go, if he wants to be a winner, they'll stay with OSU.

Seeing that OSU hasn't offered, it would be wise for him to go to Tech this weekend.

It's never wise to go to Tech. You might get the Raider Rash.

Not sure if serious, but with a pre-existing relationship she can do practically whatever she wants, right?

Interesting - I have known this family since Ranthony was 8 years old, but I would not want to jeporidze (sp?) his chance with OSU. I'll just root him on without $$$ involvement. :)

I think you are probably off the radar as a street agent. But, better safe than sorry. No financial gifts. Doesn't mean you can't accidently leave an entire OSU windsuit and a couple of hoodies the next time you're over for dinner.

Ranthony received his 2nd official offer yesterday. Western Kentucky and now Air Force. I sure hate that OSU is going to miss out on this exceptional player.

There's a lot of time left! Still, two D-1 offers is impressive, and Air Force is an incredible school.

Ranthony Texada has become one of the hottest prospects in Texas throughout the Spring Evaluation period and he just picked up his first official offer from a BCS school.
Baylor just offered,” a happy Ranthony Texada happily reported. “I was just watching the basketball game with my brothers when I got the news.”
Texada is being recruited by BU assistant coach Jim Gush.
The, 5-foot-9, 160-pound corner from Frisco Centennial has great footwork and fundamentals at the position and that is the reason why offers have flown in from the likes Air Force, Colorado State, Idaho, Navy, Nevada, Troy, UNLV, Western Kentucky and Wyoming.
But the Big 12 offer is especially gratifying and rewarding.
“It feels great,” Texada explained. “Knowing I have been flying under radar... and that the hard work is starting to show and pay off.”
Texada's high school teammate and fellow Scout.com three-star prospect, Kevin Smith, is currently committed to Baylor.
“He was the first person I called,” Texada said. “He was real excited. He has been committed to them for awhile.”
The Frisco Centennial Titans had a very strong year in 2011 and a strong showing in spring ball and last weekend's 7-on-7 State Qualifying Tournament give indications that the team will come back strong again in 2012.
“It went good,” Texada informed of the team's development throughout the spring. “We are getting new o-line and the new guys are starting to step up big. We got a lot of work to do still, but Frisco Centennial is set for another big season this year.”
Texada earned Scout.com All-NFTC honors after a strong showing at the DFW Nike Football Training Camp. He also had one of the notable performances at the Next Level Athlete Showcase at Lancaster High.

    Gotchya.

So how many CB's are we taking this year? And how many safety's will we be taking?

I know we have 2 safeties already comitted, will there be a third because we have Jupe, Baltimore, and Von Bell who have offers.

Seems like most of the safety's we have offers out to or committed could slide down to the CB spot if we landed another safety. I would assume we take anywhere between 4-6 DB's with 6 being on the high side
