Just offered him...
I'm having a hard time following these years. So the commits now (Ross etc.) are for 2013...this coming fall? Allen is 2014 so this would be for not this fall, but next?
When do they start ranking kids?
2013 recruits are for fall of '13 (not this fall but the next). 2014 recruits are for 2 falls after this coming fall. The kid is a sophomore in HS.
Years go by when they graduate...So he will be a Junior in HS next year.
Which means class of '14 are for fall of '14. Which means he's a sophomore for another week....
Kyle said oSu is one of the top 5 schools recruiting him the hardest right now.
Did he give a timeline of commitment to anyone, and who was his top 5 schools?
No and no. Said he is still open and will commit when he's ready.
@KyleAllen_10 TX A&M this wkend, Ok State next wkend, UCLA the weekend after & @Elite11 following wkend
Just get him into the facilities and let Gundy work his magic.

51 letters form Wisconsin today... Wow!! It's a red house today
Found this little nugget. Allen's coach (Tabor) talking about the recent interest the Irish have shown in his QB.
There should be a rule against this, like the rule against too many phone calls.
Gonna be tough going against the Aggies.
That's nothing. Saban has sent double that. Seen some other kids routinely get 80.
With Sawyer committing to TCU, I think Allen just became our most important recruit this year.
Even if Lunt red shirts this year and starts 2-3 years, this guy is starting as a RSSo or RSJr. I'm all for having an experienced QB familiar with how college ball works taking over.
Having a Fr QB is exciting, but it won't win you games as we found out last year.
Guess I just don't get the point. Does 80 letters say we want you any more than 1? Maybe send 2 to make sure it doesn't get lost in the mail, but anything over 5 in one day is dumb.
It would just piss me off more than anything.
I hope our coaching staff doesn't pull this crap.
That is exactly what I was thinking.
