J.T. Thor’s team lost their last game yesterday--a late rally fell short-- but will be in the state tourney next week. Here’s a few excerpts about Thor from a story on the game:

an 11-3 run over the remainder of the [3rd] quarter, keyed by five straight points from J.T. Thor . . . Thor, who was crowned the region’s Player of the Year before the game, then hit from the left elbow and hit 1 of 2 free throws on the next two possessions, and the Blue Devils were suddenly on a roll.. . . Thor shook off a difficult first half marred by foul trouble to finish with 13 points, five boards and three blocked shots . . . But it wasn’t enough, and Norcross coach Jesse McMillan knows the Blue Devils will need to put forth a better effort in the state tournament, which they will begin with a home game against Lambert in the first round.

Kind of disappointed about Thor... we were hot on his trail in the early signing period... definitely seems like he cooled on us though. Wonder how much our poor performance in big 12 play contributed to that, if at all.

If stories of him reclassifying with expectations of going directly to the pros are correct, seems to be more an issue with him
