In fact, illegal immigration costs taxpayers a staggering $134.9 billion a year while contributing only $19 billion in state, federal, and local taxes. At the federal level, medical costs make up the lion’s share of government expenditures on illegal immigrants, while education is the largest single expense that illegal immigration imposes on state and local governments.

Sadly, an overloaded welfare state is not the only negative side-effect of our broken immigration system. Communities across America are also being devastated by the violent crime and drug trafficking that result from our failure to control the border.

The Democrats have a very simple, two-part strategy on immigration: first and foremost, they want to keep President Trump from fulfilling his promises to the American people; second, they want to make it even easier for foreigners to enter this country illegally.

Democrats are putting the concerns of illegal immigrants over that of legal immigrants and the American people!

But Cimarron, famed economist Milton Friedman, who you very much look up to and admire, said," Legal and illegal immigration has a very positive impact on the U.S. economy." Friedman argued that illegal immigration was a boon because they "take jobs that most residents of this country are unwilling to take, they provide employers with workers of a kind they cannot get".

Friedman also said, "No arbitrary obstacles should prevent people from achieving those positions for which their talents fit them and which their values lead them to seek. Not birth, nationality, color, religion, sex, nor any other irrelevant characteristic should determine the opportunities that are open to a person — only his abilities."

NONE of the quotes you posted are in the video. In fact, Friedman said that Americans are willing to do the jobs of the illegal aliens but don't have to because they have better opportunities. I say that people are willing to do ANY job for the right pay.

I agree we need to stop and reverse illegal immigration, but what we need is judges and resources at ports of entry and in general to the border patrol and ICE, what we don’t need is a boondoggle wall that won’t stop 90% of illegals that are overstaying visas.

Yeah.

No one is calling for open borders here. Immigration is a complex issue and building a wall will do dick to impact it. It's been a couple of weeks and everyone is getting tired of the pecker measuring contest. How about we pass a budget and focus on immigration this spring.

One of the border patrol's resources that they want is a wall.

Don’t you mean kick the can down the road as we’ve always done in the past.

If Democrats don’t want open borders why are the actively supporting voting rights for illegal immigrants.

Environmental scientists don't want a wall throughout the border:

How Trump's Wall Would Alter Our Biological Identity Forever. It would destroy an extraordinary web of biodiversity that evolved over millions of years.

well... the Supreme Court doesn't seem to agree with the so-called science or so-called scientists....

U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Environmental Challenge to Trump's Border Wall

December 3, 2018
A legal challenge to President Donald Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall based on environmental considerations has been rebuffed by the Supreme Court.

The case arises from a lawsuit brought by three conservation groups, the Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and Defenders of Wildlife, claiming the border wall project runs afoul of environmental laws.

The groups appealed to the Supreme Court after a San Diego District Court judge in February ruled against them.
