Hey remember those crappy Lions everybody used to dog on for all these years??? Well, they are 5-2 and already swept Da Bears. Even though the 2 losses were blowouts to teams they will be competing for a possible wild card spot, do you guys think the Lions have a chance in hell of making the playoffs???

How can any self respecting OSU fan be a fan of Dallas, OU sr., Cowboys. This team fan base is made up of the most redneck fans in the world; i.e. all sooner fans are Dallas Cowboy fans. How can you not root for a team like Detroit, who despite Matt Millen, might actually make the playoffs? Not to mention the greatest spent his NFL career there.

I'm pretty sure the only reason people in Oklahoma root for the Detroit Lions is because of Barry Sanders (as you said) and his time there. I'm not saying everyone, i'm just saying most. I think more people are Dallas Cowboys fans because they are the closest, geographic wise, NFL team...anyways, this is just my opinion.

Lions have had 3 Heisman winning backs from state of Oklahoma ... Steve Owens ... Billy Sims ... Barry. All 3 had good careers with Lions ... Barry's the best of course.

I agree with the proximity idea, and Dallas is currently doing the best. even when Sanders played for the lions I was still a Dallas fan. always will be, maybe its because i grew up a Dallas fan. you tend to stick whit what you grew up on. Most people are fans because of proximity to the football team. at least thats been my expierence. so Kenny41 so why are you a detroit fan?
