Watching the game and reading the comments I cant help but observe the rush to judgment by some here - especially regarding freshmen.

Lots of baseball to be played. The first month of the season in some cases looks nothing like the season after spring break (good or bad). Defensive practice can be difficult early in the season if weather is keeping you inside or on an artificial surface. As the season progresses it works itself out just by getting more reps.

This is one of the different and cool things about the game of baseball. Take a look at how most of Josh's teams have played April through June and you'll find it easy to take a deep breath and relax about how things are going in February.
Pretty pathetic. If JH hasn’t earned their confidence by now, I doubt he ever will. Some people just want to be miserable and complain.

From what I have seen so far, I am very excited about the freshmen. Barring any injuries, I think this team is capable of winning Big 12 and getting to Omaha.

This team is capable of winning a national title, and that is not, in any way, over stating this teams capabilities

It has everything a team needs to win a title.

It has guys that can hit for power, it has guys that can hit for average, it has guys that can steal bases, it has a loaded bullpen, it potentially has a shutdown closer, and it has potentially Elite starting pitching, with Parker Scott being Elite sooner rather than later.

It also has a great mix of youthful exhuberance with veteran experience.

And.....last but certainly not least, it has an elite coaching staff.

I think you are a bit over your ski's on a Natty team. They are ranked 22nd for a reason.

As far as Holliday is concerned, while I am a huge fan of his he is admittedly hard to get behind for the casual fan. This staff coaches for B12 championships and post season success. I don't think Josh or Rob care much about the first month or so of the season - this time is all about building the team for the B12 season and NCAA tourney. It was frustrating for me to watch us lose early to teams we shouldn't every year but I get it now and am not concerned about early season struggles - it is simply their process.

Trust in process - this team will be damn good in a month or so.

I find it refreshing, like an NFL team that knows your ultimate goals reside in the postseason and that’s where your season is judged. It helps that I find college baseball the best, most exciting playoff format out there.
