Exited with the QB, the DT and the bunch of DEs.....where we need the most.

I have a hunch that Zac Veatch will be the most pleasant surprise 2~3 years down the road. He will be another great local kid providing leadership on and off the field. Another #80 in the making?

Excited: Brantley - another of Wick's All-Americans? Size alone is impressive.

Sleeper: Webb - he's done pretty well running 100 in track, so down-field speed might make him dangerous. (Seem to recall he's fairly smart too., but can't recall where I read that.)

I agree. Our defensive weaknesses from the past few years have been mainly due to an undersized and slow d-line. He seems like a freak and could contribute quickly.

That seems funny cause our two DE's benched 500lbs last year, and both were around 260lbs

I was talking height and speed, not bulk. 4.9 is not a speed to brag about, that all I was trying to say. Tshimanga runs a 4.6 and is extremely agile. He is an animal.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Blatnick and Richetti, but they lacked the closing speed that separates a good v great DE.

Tshmanga is listed as a LB.

We are extremely deep at linebacker and we are losing both of our starting DE. Therefore, he will play DE or a starter will lose their spot at LB (which I doubt will happen before the season) but I could be wrong.

So was Von Miller. I know it is more systematic semantics. I could see a philosphy change or at least some sub-packages to allow him to stand up on the edge and get after some QBs in this league. Realizing Bill is not going to change an entire defensive playbook for one athlete, but, good coaches make those subtle adjustments to maximize a player's effectiveness.

Yes but Tshimanga is very likely to play DE- he is a hybrid so who knows.

Positive Dominic Ramacher tweet of the day: “@DomOKSTATE23: I couldn't picture myself anywhere but here for the next 4 years! #gopokes #ballharduniversity”

After following him he is possibly my favorite recruit in this class. Guy loves Stillwater and OSU as much as each of us. I wouldn't be surprised if we have another recruiter like Richetti Jones in the making.

Just saw on newsok.com that Trey Williams, the 5-star committed to A&M, canceled his visit to stillwater. Looks like we won't have any running backs in this year's class.
