Mack had 30 points and Gray had 20 for OSU.

I've only watched a few Cowgirl games this year. Top-to-bottom I think there is more athleticism on this team than most years in the past but nobody can shoot except Vivian! Half of them probably couldn't make a layup 50% of the time. Mack is a good player. Vivian is a good player but knows nobody else on the team can shoot and as a result is putting up a lot of bad shots. This team desperately needs someone that can shoot the 3. But yesterday there was no defense. None. With better coaching, offensive/defensive sets to hide weaknesses, I think this team could be pretty good.

That was more embarrassing than the men's game. Littell needs to retire.
At very best, littell is "average"... too sad for the athletes but he will be there a long time with average performance as this program is not really a priority for the university. His #2 is also a snake.

He inherited a fantastic program and has simply run it out of gas.

I disagree. Jim is a good coach. Tech was on fire Saturday afternoon.

Not much good going with this team, either. Can’t win the close ones and have two embarrassing blowouts.
they've blown 2 home games that they were up by double digits in the 2nd half. one of them was to ou when they were up 20+ in the 2nd half at home

i don't know if anyone would have described the OSU program as "fantastic" when JL took it over........ please explain the "snake" comment..

Okay, this prompted a closer look at the record. I’m somewhat encouraged you don’t seem to outright defend the current staff… the record is below. Please fact check… as it was a hasty review.

Note that Coach Budke inherited a 0-12 conference team and turned it around immediately. The current staff inherited a solid NCAA second round program with a recent Sweet Sixteen season. If not “fantastic”, most would call it pretty darn good and certainly above average.

In a conference where 6 or 7, out of 10, teams receive a post-season bid, his performance is very ordinary. There are very few coaches that could not duplicate this level of success with this program and institutional resources.

I argue that the current coaching staff should be evaluated on either 2014-2015, or maybe 2015-2016 season forward. Everything prior is simply coasting on inherited momentum.

2005-2006; Budke basically inherits a 0-12 conference team; no post season
2006-2007; NCAA 1st round, lost to Bowling Green by 4, BG went on to 3rd round
2007-2008; NCAA Sweet Sixteen, lost to LSU by 15, LSU went to Final Four
2008-2009; WNIT 2nd round, lost to Arkansas in OT by 1
2009-2010; NCAA 2nd round, lost to Georgia in OT by 3
2010-2011; WNIT 2nd round, lost to Wyoming by 4
2011-2012; WNIT Champions
2012-2013; NCAA 2nd round, lost to Duke by 9, Duke went to 4th round
2013-2014; NCAA Sweet Sixteen, lost to Notre Dame by 17, ND lost in finals to Uconn
2014-2015; NCAA 1st round, lost to Florida Gulf Coast by 9
2015-2016; NCAA 1st round, lost to St. Bonaventure by 11, was totally outcoached and beat by a team of 5’5” guards
2016-2017; WNIT 1st round, lost to Abilene Christian by 10. At the time AC did not even have full NCAA Division I status. They had not yet completed the four-year transition from Division II.
2017-2018; NCAA 2nd round, lost to Mississippi State
2018-2019; no post season, 5-13 in conference
2019-2020; TBD

Good discussion and thank you for your feedback. If you love JL, that’s fine as many do. However, understand many do not. I didn’t say he’s a horrible person with no redeeming qualities. I simply say he’s ordinary and Cowgirl WBB deserves better.
