I think FSU would be a good fit. The only problem would be travel. We would need more Eastern US teams, as mentioned in the writer's theory, to make a good split of the conference. Then we become similar to the SEC with an east and west division and still remain a top conference.

Interesting thoughts but at the end of the day this is just some guy on a wordpress blog's opinion.

I like the addition of Clemson and FSU. But he is saying to add Louisville also?! And then another team?

I say go with 12 and just add Clemson and FSU. I think both of them would join if invited. The ACC is miserable in catering to football like the blogger/writer said

Adding Florida State and Clemson would be big time for Big 12 Baseball too. We would need a brand new park very soon in order to keep up.

Yes it is just his opinion, but it's sure helped by the financials. Money talks, and if you read it right now it's shouting: TV Money, BCS Money, Ticket Money. Those three make a big difference in changing opinions of decision makers.

This could be an interesting summer.

I agree but from what I've heard Clemson and FSU are the two who are looking the hardest at other options.

I would take GT over Louisville in a heart beat though. Louisville + GT and Clemson + FSU to get to 14 wouldn't be a bad move. I just expect 2 to be added at a time for some reason.

I wouldn't mind watching the Ga Tech option offense when they came to town

Dont underestimate louisville's value. I could have sworn there athletic department was top 5 in revenue or something (profits maybe) but yeah.

    Here’s my dream scenario…

West Division: POD1: UT, TT, TCU, Baylor / POD2: OSU, KU, KSU, OU

East Divsion: POD3:Louisville, ISU, WVU, VT / POD4: FSU, Clemson, GT, Miami

This answers the mail regarding travel, enters us full stream into the eastern television market and Florida recruiting market. And best of all... is RIGHT IN YOUR EYE to the SEC!!!

Louisville would be fine, but their high revenue is due to the Papa John's Owners donations. Sort of like ours, but not quite as much. Several of the ACC schools would be better ads, but Louisville is not a bad option.

Did any one notice they forgot to add Baylor to the "hypothetical" divisions? They put (other team)

Guys, I know some of these schools have bee discussed before but I've slept since then. I know Louisville would jump. FSU and Clemson are near-probables. Of the three slots left to get to 16, rank the joining likelihood of the following schools Ga. Tech, Miami, Va.Tech, Cincy and/or Rutgers.

GT is a longshot, they seem to be content in even a watered down ACC.
    Miami would jump if offered.
VT is iffy, they have ties to UVA which they may or may not be able to break, they also will probably have an SEC option.
Cincy would jump in a heartbeat.
Rutgers would be a low end resort, and might not want to make the move. They also could be a B1G target.
UVA could be a B1G target, which frees up VT.
Mayrland is a possible option as well, they had to shut down like 10 sports this year so they need money. They could also be a B1G target.

Don't forget about Notre dame. I really think they will finally come to their senses and join a conference before to long and with our third tier rights setup we have a lot to offer.
