So back to the game. There is a great deal of respect for Gundy's coaching acumen among Aggies. Only the truly kool-aid addled among us believe this to be an easy win. The thing that gives me the most hope is that Mike Elko is really good at scheming a defense to nullify the opponent's strength. My fear is that Jimbo is not much of a schemer and relies on talent advantage, which we haven't had in a while.
Jimbo isn't much of schemer, yet you guys pay him $7.5 million a year? Seems idiotic. You guys are as dumb as Texas.

Aggies gonna aggie.
Seems you Aggies don't want to play anyone that reminds you of how mediocre you've been for a long, long time. Took your ball and went home, did ya?

I get that with the University of Texas getting most of the love in the state of Texas. Actually, living in Austin (and anywhere else I've lived), no one talks about you Aggies. Maybe in Bryan/College Station and Houston, but there's no buzz in the state outside of Aggie homes dotting the landscape.
We can kind of relate to that part of your program.

We also get the fact that you wanted to move on (like Nebraska, Mizzou and Colorado) and try to redefine your losing ways. You really didn't do much in the Big 12 and were getting disappointing results no matter what you did and who coached you.
I'm seeing a pattern of old Big 12 teams leaving the nest and going out to prove just how good they are. How's that going for you?

You may have a large fan base, but those fans are like globalists/socialists/liberals and convinced they're better and smarter than they really are. It's like every year you guys go into the season way overrated and about game 5 realize that it's all Dallas Cowboys-like results.
But among yourselves you still like to think of yourself as one of the elite programs deserving more than what's given you.

Really, with all of the money, backing, facilities, recruiting in Texas and the SEC, one would think you'd be doing much better than you are.
You can't even build a bonfire anymore because you screwed that up, too. You're no longer allowed to play with matches.
Speaking of matches.....

You're not the girl we wanted to take to the prom, either.
I mean, we were looking at a Mississippi State match up, too.
That's like prom date options: 1)Nice, but ugly chick or 2) Nice, butt ugly chick.

The good news for you is that we may be without our 3 top players and a few more. So, you've got your best chance to beat us in about a decade.
What we're counting on is you guys being Aggies.

Well you guys are in luck, because the only remaining strength our offense had (Chuba) is likely off to the NFL. Without him, we will give new meaning to the word “anemic”.

How about Danimal Bailey drilling it through the uprights to bring tears to the aggies? That one was as sweet as Weeden crushing their spirit in aggieland.

Not cool to joke about the bonfire IMHO. People lost their lives. Would be like joking about the homecoming driver, or either of our plane crashes...bad taste. Otherwise it's kinda funny but a far cry from your better work. Love ya man, but that was kinda low. Additionally your last paragraph is false.

He wasn’t joking. He was stating a fact and I didn’t pick up any attempt at humor in his comment. Also, the plane crash/HC parade are in no way similar. They were not caused by our incompetence. The only thing that caused the bonfire collapse was aggy incompetence. Incompetent administrators that allowed incompetent kids to build a dangerous structure like that. You’d think they’d be ashamed of this criminal act, but they act like these 12 poor kids gave their lives for some noble cause.

The entire university is a embarrassment to the state of Texas.

I think there's a thought provoking discussion to have about the bonfire- but it doesn't look good to have it in the midst of this discussion, which makes it look more like a joke in bad taste.

Well you could compare it to the ‘77 electrocution of three kids working on the AGR homecoming house dec though..I gotta agree that hitting on the bonfire is a low blow...OSU of all schools should understand a tragedy like that and be respectful. Not a good thing to bring up in this context.

If we are being honest, going to the SEC was absolutely the best move for Texas A&M.

I would say Texas A&M going to the SEC has helped the SEC more than it has helped Texas A&M though.

If Oklahoma State had been offered the spot instead of Texas A&M originally, we would have been foolish to NOT take it (and we probably wouldn't have without OU going with us - it sucks but true).

If the B1G invited Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas when the GoR expires, I think there is a fair chance they would take it if State politics don't get involved. If that happens, perhaps the SEC would consider inviting OSU, Texas Tech, and Kansas State...then Alabama and Auburn both move to the SEC East. Wouldn't all 8 of these teams LOVE to be in this division? I would think the 5 existing SEC teams would vote in favor of this alignment.

SEC West
Kansas State
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
Texas A&M
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State

That is a division where Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and LSU are the teams to beat. Not having to beat Oklahoma to win a division (or conference) would be our best-case-scenario.

Pipe dream.

SEC added A&M to get the state of Texas into the SEC Network subscription footprint. This was worth well over $100 million per year for the conference. Adding Tech doesn't increase that subscription fee revenue. For a school to get added to the SEC there would have to be a net gain in revenue distribution for the other schools.

Only schools outside the SEC footprint with a large enough population will be considered. North Carolina and Virginia are the two states most likely to have schools targeted during the next round of realignment.

Back to the Texas Bowl, it looks like y'all are going to have everyone but Wallace available. This pleases me as it will mean fewer excuses should my beloved Aggies win!

I watched the highlights of your games against KSU and UT recently. It appeared you settled for field goals a lot in those two games. Hopefully that can continue.

Our wins this year have usually been close games for 3 quarters before the opponent wore down. If we win I believe the game will follow that script.

That has kinda been our blueprint for wins as well. So if we both are playing that style, this might be a pretty low scoring game. The old OSU high flying offenses are a thing of the past, as this year's team leans heavily on the run and TOP to try and keep our D fresh.

Sorry, but when the pilot flying the team doesn't even have his charter license, that's pretty much the definition of incompetence.

That's incompetence on the charter company, not the college though right?

None of those wins were against teams with winning records. Pretty sad if you really think you had to "wear them down." And talk about excuses? Yours will be "we didn't really want to be there" because any sec team that's not in the national title game doesn't want to be there when they lose. You guys fit perfectly into that excuse machine.

I've never seen any indication in NTSB reports that the pilots in the 2001 crash qualifications were insufficient - only that the 2011 pilot was not rated for the night flight. Have I missed something?
