@chrishas35 New update is possibly late next week, depending on how training goes.

I was unaware of the OSU ties with Oklahoma Joe's.

Joe came up and talked to me because of my OSU hat while we were in line.

That's really cool. I guess I should have read the History tab on their website sooner earlier. Now I can blame how often I go on supporting fellow pokes.

So one complaint....no Boulevard Beer! Yea, I know, it's gotta be Oklahoma's stupid laws, but no Boulevard with my OK Joe's is like sacrilegious.

They have boulevard at Charleston's just up the street. Must be a distributor deal.

The original Oklahoma Joes was on the strip in the mid-90's. They would have buy 1 get 1 free sandwiches on Thursday's and 99 cent domestic bottles that were so cold the ice was frozen to the bottle. When they closed down, they destroyed BBQ in Stillwater for me. Bad Brad's etc. couldn't come close. I'll be going tonight and will take plenty of pics.

Can't believe a deal like that couldn't stick in Stilly. Seems a lot of BBQ revolves through there though. BBQ in general must be just expensive enough to be out of the average college kid price range.

I don't think it was a matter of sticking, though I didn't get details from Joe as to why they closed when I got a chance to talk with him. From what I remember, their business at the time was as much or more about selling smokers and doing competition BBQ than it was operating a restaurant. You can learn more about the history if you like at OKJoes.com, and I'm going to try and get into that stuff more as well after I get up there and get a chance to review it. I'll try to remember to post the link here.
