Memphis does have Graceland and tours of it.

Did you know Presley did not name his mansion Graceland? The property got its name from when the land around it was called Graceland Farms by its original owner S.C. Toof.

I don't doubt that, but how about a link anyway?

MUCO, I doubt MU is wanting to move slowly, but the SEC has to take the next step. I'm not sure how fast they want to move since the add would be for 2013 at this point.

Not a link, but I do know some people in the AD who I asked and said that this was 100% false.

I had originally thought stopping at 10 was a selling point to MU, but now I wouldn't be surprised if it was a selling point to the SEC. If the Big XII grabs WVU, then the SEC has no place but MU to go. By standing pat at 10 it doesn't make the SEC rush, which in turn means more time to derail MU's move. The ACC is doing the same thing. Waiting for MU to move so they can know how many teams they need, and if ND is feeling forced to make a move.

Eh every now and then if I bug these people enough they will throw me a bone. Now rumors are starting to circulate that we will notify the Big 12 of our conditional withdraw after the BOC meeting on Thursday I believe.

That's what the media is putting out. Sounds about right. I'd guess they figured putting you in the East made sense.

Yeah, which I actually have no problem with. As of right now, I do not see a team in the East that we could not beat, where I see about 3 maybe 4 in the west. Granted schools like Fl and GA won't be down for forever, but it gives us a window of opportunity.

Neinas said that before WVU was invited. That move changed the landscape. Before MU had missed the deadline to move for 2012. Now with the Big XII supporting WVU leaving earlier than their BE agreement says it's tough to say the BE is wrong, but we're right. That removed a lot of options from the Big XII to fight to keep MU for 2012, and made the SEC willing to do it.

So, Neinas couldn't see that coming or after he made that statement he decided it didn't matter if Mizzou played in the Big 12 in 2012 and he did what he had to do to keep the Big 12 at 10?

I think bringing back Neinas was a bad idea. He was out of the game for too long, he was the Big 8 commissioner from 71-80! That's 30 years! I know he was still connected and such, but so much has changed in that time, the position is not remotely what it used to be. The Big 12 needs to hire a full time commissioner ASAP.
