No problems. Was a great article, just find it tough to believe anyone would find it tough to fit in with black people if you have light skin.

Yeah, like I said, a lot of mixed people have issues like this, most often just based on how they look. I have a lot of mixed friends who have faced this issue and have read how a lot of bi/multi-racial people face similar issues. Then based on how you look, certain people have certain expectations on how you should speak, eat, act, etc. That's why I find it funny that people easily point fingers at racism, but they themselves are practicing another form of racism.

I feel sorry for her sister having to face judgement early on in her life based on her more black features (although she still clearly looks biracial - and very pretty I might add). I also find it ironic that Harvard would have more "enlightened" people, although from secondary experience it seems being accepted into an Ivy League school doesn't necessarily make you more "enlightened" or open minded.


Clearly MLK's message still haven't gotten through to some younger people ....sigh.
