Gundy isn't going to change anything, then, as painful as this is, it would be better for our long term health to lose these 3 games.

If that happened Gundy, if not Holder, would have to make changes.
What in the world have you seen from Gundy or Holder that makes you think they will do anything different because of losing the last 3 games.

Exactly. There is a huge gap between the fan expectations and those of Gundy/Holder. Just 2 steps and it's mission accomplished on the season for Gundy/Holder. Step 3 is like winning the NC in their minds.

7 - National Championship [Fans expectation level]

6 - Win the Semifinal Game

5 - Make the Final 4

4 - Make the Big 12 Championship

3 - Have a 10 Win Season

2 - Have a Winning Record (7-5) [Gundy & Holder expectation level]

1 - Make a Bowl Game (6-6)

You left off a critical portion to each step. Example: Have a winning record while having equal yards of passing and rushing.

7 is unrealistic. I expect 3 quite often and hope for 4/5 every once in a while.

Who comes off the bench if sanders goes down?
CBS Sports this morning is listing Illingworth out due to COVID and Sanders questionable with an undisclosed injury from the Bedlam game. They are projecting Bullock as the probable starter. I don’t even know who would back up Bullock. I am hoping that is fake news because if it’s not we are going to lose three in a row to the Tortilla throwers........

Here’s the quote from CBS......

“Illingworth will miss Saturday's contest after testing positive for COVID-19 and starting quarterback Spencer Sanders is also questionable with an undisclosed injury he suffered in the loss to Oklahoma. If neither player can play, that would leave junior college transfer Ethan Bullock in line to start on Saturday. And that would put a lot of pressure on last year's FBS rushing leader Chuba Hubbard to get back on track as he's only averaged 4.7 yards per carry in 2020.”

If we went 5-5 with a pre season Heisman possible with Hubbard and a Biletnikoff possible returning and finished with this crappy of an. offense Holder would be forced to make some changes.

Otherwise no one is showing up to the games next year

There's about a 99.9% chance these next year we lose both Hubbard and Wallace

Holder has raised ticket prices to the point where people aren't going to pay those prices to watch us run zone plays 80% of the time we run the ball.

Not that I want us to cancel the game, but wouldn’t that meet the the criteria to postpone the game?

Is this for real? Didn't we have a decent walk on QB that beat out the other scholarship QB from Cali? What a disaster of a year this has been.

Where’s the game thread?

I know that was a humiliating loss on national TV but we gotta bounce back and take care of business. Still got 3 games left.

Not sure which fans you're talking about, but we have two distinct fanbases.

Fans that began watching OSU football pre-Miles/Boone's money/Gundy timeframe seemingly expect to make a bowl game and have a winning record. Accomplish those, and they're content. Currently, this is likely where all the big donor $$$ is.

Folks that became fans post-Miles/Boone's money/Gundy era expect WAY more than that, but likely represent way less donor $$$.

No sane OSU fan expects to make the CFP, and with Gundy, even making the CFP is an impossibility. He has built this team and staff to give us zero chance of it. He'll satisfy 1 and 2 every year and sneak 3 in periodically given our super weak schedule, and *might* get to 4 if everyone else is horrible or we somehow have Heisman candidates at multiple positions. Who in in the world do you know that expects OSU to even make the CFP? That's 100% a pipe dream with Gundy as the HC unless he makes major changes to his approach (like when DH was the OC).

One of the players right after Bedlam said some or a OU player(s) spat on one of our players...Illingworth? Inquiring minds want to know...
