You can't be that clueless. I mean, really, are you seriously that clueless how this works?
I mean it's not like one side of the political aisle could vilify and or dismiss a candidate so much that the other side elects someone with zero experience, outlandish ideas, and that lives with their foot in their mouth........that could never happen

I know I'll never change your mind but if I make you actually think occasionally instead of just cheering for your team I consider it a win. It is rare, but happens.
The only things I cheer for are liberty and individual rights. Occasional-Cortex wishes to reduce both.

Popularity unfortunately is far more important than policy. Ask a republican republican 5 years ago if they would support a tariff-seeking, war-heroes insulting, crude, womanizing candidate? Of course not. But now that he is popular they are sure accepting of what they previously rallied against.

Ha, you guys are doing such a good job making it so "obvious" that people on the other side of the world are talking fondly about a first year congresswoman from a small district. Previously they would probably not recognize the name of more than one or two congressmen at all. Great strategy!
your examples are absurd. Americans then and Americans now would say the same damned thing -- WE DON'T WANT HILLARY.

Bernie Sanders was unknown in the legislature for over 120 years, until socialism became popular with the kids.

your comments are becoming more and more absurd.

I don't have much interest in discussing the possible effects of popularizing a kook.

And with nothing useful left to say on the actual subject you fall to the typical whataboutism even though I am not a democrat and could not care less about Hillary at this point, and suspect that at his age Sanders is washed up too but that remains to be seen. Cim has taught you well. Yawn. If you don't want to discuss it, there is a very easy way to not discuss it. We'll see if you are able to figure it out. Doubtful.

I tell you if you don't want to discuss something you are FREE to stop.

You tell me to STOP.

Typical. You claim you want people to have freedom, yet over and over you are on this board telling other people what to do just because they disagree with you.

And, of course, despite your claim of wanting to stop discussing my comments, you didn't.
