Unranked and zero votes???
How is this possible? 6-0, how much better do you need to be to get somebody somewhere to cast a vote? Watching this team last night take apart a power five blue blood, will that get us some national attention?
For one we were way down the ranks to start the season because of a 12-20 season last year plus most of the teams we have beat were not high RPI teams. It will take time but we'll get there. Syracuse is nowhere near the powerhouse they used to be. They've been mediocre for years.

Good or not, we didn’t lose to them. Plus they had a 4-1 record coming in.
Plenty of teams in the top 40-50 have losses, some multiple losses, so they havent exactly earned their votes either.
Basketball rankings are always a bit rigid to start the season. Hard for ranked teams to fall out and hard for unranked to move in, UNLESS they beat a couple ranked teams. There will be more movement in the poll once conference play starts.
That’s really not true in football, as we’ve seen hype, eye tests, and coaches politicking for playoff spots all work as effectively as simply “winning”, depending on who you are.

This. The Syracuse win isn’t considered in the latest polls. We are 5-0 in those with our best win being Yale. Beat Ole Miss Friday and I bet we are at least in the 30s somewhere.
