Opened the Kansas pheasant/quail season last weekend near Liberal. Lots of both and we saw a lot more birds on the Oklahoma side in the panhandle. Looking forward to Dec. 1st.

Bud Light is a very important tool when harvesting upland birds. :)

Glad to hear good reports on quail numbers. Looked pretty bleak there for a while, although I stopped hunting them years ago due to moving, life, etc.

What kind of dogs do you run?? Was always partial to Brittanies myself due to where I hunted. In central Oklahoma, with all the trees, we spent more time hunting dogs than birds with my buddy's pointers.

Our group has 3 gsp's, 1 Britt, 3 labs, and an English Setter. Always have pointing dogs and Labradors on the ground together. Works out well.

Well, just had to add a little. My employer, shouldnt call him that, best investor and friend, gave me a Beretta over and under. Can't wait to shoot it. Great upland gun. Good for clays also. Can't wait to unload it on pheasants and quail!

Beretta's are sweet, what model? I love my 686 Silver Pigeon.
