We all know Coach Gundy is a strict disciplinarian and has stuck to his principles even when it was hard (remember his first season?) Well, now 3 UT football stars, two starters from the D-line, have been arrested for "failure to obey a lawful order". Now we will see how Coach Mack/UT AD handles this. See if UT atheletic department has as much class as OSU.

"failure to obey a lawful order" ? What does this even mean. Depends on what the actual circumstances were before anyone can judge if the punishment fits the crime.

They wouldnt leave a pizza place when asked. Pretty stupid of them but I would put this near the bottom of "bad things athletes do" list. Probably just a 1 game suspension.

I doubt they even get a game. Yes, they got arrested, but if anyone is calling for a long term suspension you need to wake up.

I wouldn't even suspend them. Just give them a bunch of running for being idiots.

Although I wouldn't mind a suspension until after their game with us. :)

That's a little harsh. Maybe just suspend them for their game with us. :D

Well since we know they're D-Linemen, I'm betting they were at a buffet and eating in quantities that big DL's typically do. The manager asked politely for them to leave and when they didn't he called the cops. Happened to my dad once.

Get off your high horse docpoke. This is pretty much a non-story that will result in a small ticket or charges dropped. Gundy would do little about this especially since it will be forgotten by the time football starts in 5 months. Besides, any Texas fan could easily tear apart your argument about Mack Brown by saying that he dropped Chris Collins only to have Gundy pick him up.

If OSU football players got kicked off of the team for crap like this we wouldn't have a football program.

Does Chris Collins ring a bell? I know he insisted he was innocent and Gundy kind of got screwed by the kid... but Gundy took that risk. What about Blackmon getting arrested for suspicion of DUI? Glad he didn't get kicked off of the team for that. What about Blatnick's incident? What about all of the other football players that have been arrested in Stillwater for little stuff that nobody even cares about?

This stuff happens. College kids are dumb. UT's coaches have just as much integrity as ours and everyone else's.

These kids shouldn't even be slapped on the wrist. Maybe some extra conditioning or something like that, anything more is overboard.

Seriously I still can't get over how you want those players kicked off the team for this. It has to be one of the stupidest posts I've read outside of the "Bedlam and Flame" board.
