    If Football Is Cancelled

Here's an example. Spanish flu Pandemic of 1918-20 (this flu is still around) It's happened before. I live in Bryan/College Station, home to Texas A&M. Hospitals in our area are at 62% (not that far above normal) and ICU's are at 55% including non-COVID cases (which may be even a little low)...

    If Football Is Cancelled

The study was on middle aged couch potatoes, not young athletes. We live with deemed "acceptable risks" every day. Media focus can distort our risk concerns: people drive to Florida beaches and worrying about shark attacks when the higher risk activity was the drive to Florida. Traditional flu...

    RIP John Blake

This is a picture posted by Princeton, TX High School where he was a teacher and coach. Looks like he had dropped a LOT of weight. Sounds like he was in a good place with his life.

    Coaches Poll

First, we would need to be undefeated. As we proved once before, one loss and we are out. Then we will see.

    Coaches Poll

Starting at #16 and looking at the list in front of us, I don't see a path to the playoffs without some big unexpected losses by those in the top 10. If we were undefeated an outside chance, but no lock even then; we'd be vying for a 3rd or 4th seed versus a one-loss SEC team. 'Tis the state of...

Isn't this like his second or third reconstruction of his swing? New swing coach?

    2020 Football Fan Guide

Apparently there aren't many teams that have won 7 Liberty Bowls in the last 10 years either. I'd rather be us than all of those that haven't. And there are a LOT more teams that haven't won 7 lesser bowls than there are losing playoff and new years six bowls.

Mine have shifted quite a bit - but probably not in the direction you are thinking.

Football game played in Kansas last night with fans!

Crazy! It was way too hot to be playing football.

    Inviting Former Players Back

Nah....Columbus is only slightly closer to Auburn than Tulsa is to Stillwater - very close to the same. So what you are talking about would be the equivalent of the Tulsa/Stillwater area, or a population of 600,000 or so. I've been to Auburn, AL. Auburn and Penn State apply very well.

    Inviting Former Players Back

I will never accept this idea that Stillwater is a bad college location to recruit to. I give you Auburn Alabama: Auburn is a city in eastern Alabama. On the Auburn University campus, the sprawling Donald E. Davis Arboretum has a collection of native plants. The Jonathan Bell Lovelace Museum...

https://okstate.com/sports/football/roster/dylan-galloway/8947 Good career, was hit with the injury bug in the past. I agree, get that business degree and make things happen.

I have ESPN+ only - and I can't find it anywhere. Did a search and it comes up on ESPN only. Based on what I'm reading it's not available to stream on line yet anyway.

Finding Big Country on ESPN tonight

I saw it previously and thought it was excellent.

    Neal Brown can recruit!

Morgantown is a town of about 30,000. Everybody knows you can't recruit big time college talent to a small town setting like that - just ask a bunch of guys on this board.

You are partly right. At high schools coaches and many admin employees, as opposed to teachers who are under contract, are "at will" employees; i.e. they can (in theory) be fired at any point in time at the discretion of the Superintendent with no cause. That said, there are some limits as well...

QUOTE="Herecomesbullets, post: 4083879, member: 8238"]Coaches in the Public School system in Oklahoma can be removed from their coaching duties without so much as to an explanation as to why they were removed. It's an extra duty and has a contract that is entirely separate from the teaching...

I have a fairly high position in a school district, and I must attend training on exactly this subject - how I am to conduct myself. One of the tenants of the training is that I have a public face as an employee of the district, and I have a private face as Pistolp the citizen. I have first...

I believe that until we can have open and honest discussion based on data and facts, race relations will never improve. Take the OAN criticism that BLM is a "farce" which has been roundly denounced by other media and individuals (and which Fact Check dismissed as false). Farce might be a little...
