I hate when people say that... ;) Iraq actually has a lot of greenery, it was the birthplace of civilization so the land is pretty fertile. Although it doesn't rain very often, it does have a lot of rivers that run thru it and it stays pretty humid. Not as humid as here, but still pretty bad.

It is the fertile crescent, mesopotamia etc. Iraqi history is pretty fascinating.
