Big 12 Championship Game Accomodations

I’m sure this is not news to anyone but if you’re going to the CCG you’d better book right now. Got our hotel room right by the stadium this afternoon but the first 2-3 hotels we wanted in that area were already sold out. Get ready for a two-night minimum (Fri-Sat) and rates close to triple the normal rates on non-event weekends. They are only going to get higher as availability gets lower and lower!

I’m wondering if OU and BSU fans booked up a bunch of rooms at super-high cancellable and refundable rates just to secure a room and a bunch of rooms might get released after this weekend sorts out and the fans of the team not going call to dump their reservations?

I couldn’t chance gambling on it and not getting a room. This will be a game for the ages!

There are hotels all over North Texas...Just find one where you want to be and go to the game...tickets area also available for as low as $80 in the nose bleeds and $160 in prime seating. It's not that hard to do this and no one should be in a rush...being in a rush is how you get a bad deal and taken...take your time, search the area for decent deals on rooms, air bnb's, vrbos and other accommodations all over North Texas...it's just not that big a deal to find something if you don't mind driving a bit. Marriott las Colinas is gorgeous and you can get rooms for $129 a night. Sonesta Las Colinas is $84 a night for that Saturday night, Cambria Southlake is $112 a night...etc...etc...etc. Expense should NOT keep any OSU fan from going to this game....it's just not that expensive for someone with an average income and the time to do this. Budget about $500 or so for two people...maybe a grand if you want to be more luxurious.
