Blind test for 4 CFP contenders:

Team A’s opponents have 79 wins (41 P5 wins)
Team B’s opponents have 77 wins (40 P5 wins)
Team C’s opponents have 71 wins (40 P5 wins)
Team D’s opponents have 64 wins (10 P5 wins)

Guesses?
A = Oklahoma State
B = Bama
C = Notre Dame (they can jump to 72/41 if USC beats Cal)
D = Cincy

Correct me if I’m wrong.

If we win the CCG and Michigan, Bama, or Cincy lose.

CFP semi-final

If we win the CCG and Michigan, Bama, and Cincy win:

Sugar bowl likely against Ole Miss. (Unless we push out Cincy which might be possible, not sure)

If we lose the CCG

Alamo bowl vs the loser of Oregon/Utah or ASU.

Man we gotta win this CC.

Even if we lose I think we would go to a NY6 game. Maybe the Peach or Fiesta.

I’d say this is about right. Need one of those 3 teams to lose or need a close Cincinnati wins and an OSU blowout of Baylor to jump them.

Have to be #5 this week. Just to prove that the committee values our OU win. If we don’t jump ND, then we will next week but I’d be concerned we aren’t viewed favorably enough to jump Cincinnati in that case.

Come in a 5 ahead of ND and I’d say we have a shot at jumping Cincinnati.

Cincy will not be ahead of us (assuming a Big 12 title victory). We are Bama compared to Cincy.
[Please don't let me regret this post.]

Clarification - they will still be ahead of us tonight.

Notre Dame coach leaving does seem to indicate something. Maybe Brian Kelly wants to be in a conference since it will almost certainly hurt ND this year. (Unless several upsets happen Saturday).

It looks like ND is fully expecting to be left out.
