The Cowgirls are leading Texas Tech 12 to 4 with 3:39 remaining in the first quarter on ESPN+.

It’s the return of former Cowgirls Vivian Gray and Bryn Gerlich, now playing for the Lady Raiders.

Natasha Mack already has 10 rebounds.

Vivian Gray is a volume shooter, but struggles mightily with length and athleticism. Taylen Collins flat out dominated Gray as did Lauren fields who dominated Lexi Gordon. Take those two away, and they're too easy to defend. This group is one tight knit group and it shows.

It’s neat to start 3-0. I’m looking forward to the games with Baylor and Texas. I’m ready to see how this team matches up with the ranked Big 12 teams.

Taylen Collins and Lexy Keys are good and have so much potential.

The transfer of Chrislyn Carr five games into the season was disastrous for Tech. They need a point guard.

Vivian Gray could have a nice career in Europe, if her sister or Bryn Gerlich will go with her.

Not surprised that Carr transferred..she was going to transfer after stallings was let go but decided to give Gerlich a chance...and turns out she didn’t fit in with the offense. The offense runs through Vivian like it did here...which isn’t good basketball. Enjoyed Bryn when she was here, but the fact she’s an actual starter tells you the lack of talent Texas Tech has. Your last sentence about Vivian is spot on to a tee....family and comfort are two things she place a high premium on.

Vivian added the freshman 20 to her resume as a senior.
The Texas Tech training table must be better than the one that the cowgirls have in Stillwater.

Cowgirls with a nice start to conference play and have a good chance at 5-0 before they have to play the top teams in conference. Hopefully confidence will hold for when they get the top 3 Big 12 thanks. Not sure the Big 12 will get more than 5 teams in the NCAA this year, but let's see how the year plays out.

Lexi had kind of an off shooting night. But she played really well otherwise.Let’s hope The off shooting night is just a one time blip on the radar. Lauren played well and made some shots. We need three consistent outside scoring threats. JMHO

Yes, Lexi didn't knock open 3's as she usually does, but as a freshman shows great promise. As mentioned earlier Ja'Mee with a career night, Taylen and Lauren all played very well on both ends of the floor. I was also impressed by Kassidy DeLapp, who came off the bench, and for the third game in a row made a significant contribution. I felt like we had a good scout, good game plan and good execution,. well done by both coaches and players.

Kassidy will be rewarded with a start before long if she keeps up the aggressive play!
That has been Jim's way of rewarding kids that bust tale in the past.
