So, now it's a sign language thread? Got it. Nothing to see here folks...don't talk about the event. Never mention the even. An event never happened. Who's in charge here, Jim Rennie?

For fellow believers reading this thread...Check out Psalms 62 this morning and put yourself in the writers place. Also check out 1 Peter 1:3-7 for a reminder of who you are. IMHO, it's a good lesson of how to behave and for emotional strength in our times as a Believer.

The politics of the day should mean very little to us except to drive us deeper in the word and prayer...the events of the day are just another representation of our fallen world, which is and was and has always been since sin entered it. Our strength comes from a higher power, not from Earthly ones...Trust not in Trump or Biden, nor Congress, nor the SCOTUS, or protestors, and rioters.

BUT...
Trust in the Lord, the maker of heaven and Earth. Put your trust in the one who actually holds the scales. WE all leave this world in death...but those who trust in the Lord will fly on wings like Eagles, we will not grow weary and our strength will be renewed.

May God Bless each of you today!

What's amazing about this is the content above is a story by Oklahoma's own KOCO Channel 5 news, and the history professor is one of oSu's own, "Dr. Brian Hosmer, who is the head of the history department at Oklahoma State University."

Did anyone read it? Or skip it because it's linked through msn.com? SMDH...
I read it and I agree that we need to look back...but we need to do it in a far more unbiased fashion than did Professor Hosmer...In his second or third paragraph he mentioned far right leaning violence or planed violence that happened but he completely failed to mention those that occurred all summer and even back in the Obama years on the far left. Like Baltimore, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland and basically every other city in America during the "summer of love." All those things happened just as did the ones he mentioned at the Capital, Charlotte, at the AME Crunch, and the failed plot in Michigan to kidnap the governor. Unrest isn't braised politically, why is Dr. Hosmer? This should be our question...both sides are at fault here and until we figure out how to be centrist in our behavior and unbiased in our mindset, no matter how we lean, we will not get past this.
