I remember losing at Troy on a Friday night several years ago. I hope MG reminds these guys about not looking ahead to Pitt

We literally do not have 1 game we can "look past" The easiest game is probably KU at home but that's the last regular season game anyway. I guess we could look past them to the Big 12 championship game.

Which brings up a question, looking at the schedule it lines up well with some of the tougher games at home but some of the less challenging away. As a result try to find the 2nd easiest game on our schedule. It's not easy.

I do see SEC teams playing on Thursday nights and I don't think anyone in here would argue they aren't the best overall league in college football. I don't think you would ever see an Alabama playing on a Thursday night though. It seems like it's generally the middle of the pack to bottom SEC teams that play on Thursday nights most often. I don't like having a Thursday and a Friday night game at all! I'm already ready for football. I hope we can play a little defense this year. Defense has always been our weakness since probably the Pat Jones era. We had some very good defenses back then.

We really did. Even before PJ I grew up assuming we would always have good defense and poor offense. We can't ever seem to have both good at the same time. I think it has something to do with physics or something.

I know, it was more of a joke and a jab at the big12.

Yalls offense should be very hard to defend. Might be up there with the 2011 offense. Idk about the defense I just know osu lost their best D lineman.

OU fans feel the same about the defense. They "should" be MUCH improved but Mike Stoops is calling plays.....so expectations are low.

Mike Gundy record for non Saturday games....

14-5 Overall for games played on any day other than Saturday. This incluces Bowl Games

9-2 for regular season games. Three of these games were conference games which OSU won. The one loss here was @ Troy in 2007!!!!!

    5-3 for Bowl games.

Losing that 1 game to Troy in 2007 makes me fear losing every non Saturday game we play in the deep south. Beware of Marie Laveau LOL

Ugh, I hate that this has to be brought up, but you forgot one other regular season loss on a non-saturday game. You know, the game that shall not be named...

That opening night date (not so much game) in 2015 was fun. I enjoyed not having to wait until the weekend and being right there at the ceremonious open to the greatest few months of the year. As I recall, we had a lot more PR and ESPN ads that week leading up to the game. Def a good thing.

I went through Gundy's schedule year-by-year, not sure what game you are referring to?

    You serious Clark?

There was an infamous non-Saturday game in 2011.

Isn't 14-5 overall, 9-2 regular season and 5-3 in Bowl games, right?

I don't know. I was just referring to your post when you didn't seem to know what non-Saturday game traumatized him.

Actually I would bet it's not technically correct. **Pain in the xxx fact coming**

I bet you did forget one non-Saturday game. I'll give you a hint. In 2011 we actually played 3 non Saturday regular season games. Can you tell me which games?

I did overlook one game in 2011 when I was scanning the dates.

I'll challenge you and all the other Pizza Hut's in the greater metro area to point out the 3 regular season non Saturday games in 2011.

    Anyone?

Ugh. That means a day and a half of vacation because of the Thursday night move. Have to take off a noon on Thursday to roll into town and then Friday because I'm not driving back to Missouri after a night game.

So my count was right other than the 1 game I admitted to overlooking in 2011 and you still think I don't know what games they were. This is after for a second time I went back through the 2011 schedule to see what non-saturday game I overlooked........
