Why should he move when he is able to use his wealth and the current apparatus in the White House to get what he wants here? He is all about global governance and one of the steps to achieve that goal is collapsing currencies such as the dollar which has been the dominant currency for so long due to it's remarkable resiliency. Of course making billions in the process is a great perk.

That's pretty par for the course for Soros, and he's not saying anything (especially with regard to the rapid and massive shift of power from America to China that has already taken place in the eyes of most people) that the vast majority of people outside of the United States (and many within) aren't already thinking and aren't already hearing all day, every day. Even given the number of Americans lamenting our "loss of influence" and buying into the completely unsupportable "China owns us" myth it is still surprising how little it is grasped domestically that outside our borders many people no longer consider us the most powerful nation, many no longer even consider us a superpower much less "the" superpower, and many who do still consider us so believe we won't be for more than a few more years at best. The overwhelming belief abroad is that China is already the most powerful nation, and that they will come soon to dominate us the way we dominate Canada or Britain or France today.
Your question is based on what if this, then that would happen. What if Soros went after the Independant party, or the libertarians? So what? It doesn't get to the bottom line. There is a method to his madness, a stradegy. Ask the question, would Soros go after the Republican party and why? It makes more sense for Soros to go after the democratic party because they were the anti-war, civil rights giants in the 60's, people would much more willingly go along with evil, as long as it has a compassionate overtone. It is easier to corrupt people using compassion than it is enforcing personal responsibility and hard work, which is the general manifesto of the Republican party. If you can make people think, what they are doing is helping the poor, rather than making the rich, richer, you can get all kinds of positive reaction to a sinister plot. However, the Republican intent (which is what they say, not what they do necisarily) is to lower taxes so people will have more money for themselves, including poor people.
