Gooch is the only one below the projected cut line now at +3. Cut line projects at +1 but a lot of golf left to play today. Rickie doing well so far and is above cut line for the moment.

You jinxed him. Cut line at the moment is +1 and Fowler is finished at +2. He was +3 on the last four holes including a double bogey.

If he doesn’t win a tournament this year he will be averaging 1/2 per year since he joined the tour. He has two wins since 2017. They used to say he was the best player without a Major. He’s not eventhe best player on tour from OSU. He is not and has never been elite.
During the first week of August, this has been his world ranking each year.

2010 - 35th
2011 - 28th
2012 - 20th
2013 - 35th
2014 - 18th
2015 - 5th
2016 - 8th
2017 - 10th
2018 - 9th
2019 - 15th
2020 - 32nd

11 consecutive years in the Top 35 in the World. 6 of those years in the Top 18.

Yea, he is not Elite. SMH

BTW, I believe only 6 other golfers in the world can make the claim they were in the Top 35 in the world in each of the last 11 years. I don’t call that elite. I call that ELITE!!!

We measure elite by wins. He and CHIII have fewer than 10 between them, not to mention no majors. Both are high finish money machines, but seldom winners. I read somewhere that one of Rickie's problems is that everyone, EVERYONE likes Rickie. Can't say that about Tiger, but he is elite.
Why is it a problem that everyone likes Rickie?

You’re right he’s not Elite. Elite golfers win tournaments.
