Mason's first start is . . . rocky

1st half- 8/15 for 40 yards = 2.7/attempt Yikes, so much for his skill of going deep.

On the bright side, he's the team's leading rusher today . . . (bright side if you are a 49ers fan).

Rudolph is really coming on in the 4th quarter as the Steelers open the offense up. He has two touchdown passes for 76 yards & 39 yards. The Steelers just took the lead 20-17.

Hopefully he calms down a bit in game 2. San Fran has a solid defense, but they should’ve won that game with all those turnovers.

Definitely seems better than the "pillow fight" I had heard people describe tonight's game as earlier today.

Very efficient start for him & good job by PItt with their offensive gameplan. Didn't put too much on his plate, gave him manageable throws & used the wildcat for a different look.

As they talked about on the broadcast, he'll have to push the ball down the field alot more moving forward, but this was a solid, confidence-building effort. Steelers could be right back in the NFC North race with a win this coming week.
