I think Cisse and Thompson were solid gets in the previous class. Kalib and AA pretty solid gets as well in the class previous to Cunningham. The Cunningham class is disappointing with MAM and Walker not making the frosh to soph jump and then leaving. Bryce Williams helped us out of that class...
I believe the Robinson kid is a total stud and will play on Sundays. It wasn't his fault, but the tv crew made the first half an infomercial for his Heisman campaign. Then Warren and the OSU defense took a firetruck hose to all that in the second half.
My recollection of watching that game was they were trying to push Texas' running back for the Heisman and kept comparing him to Reggie Bush who was in studio. Then Warren outplayed him in the second half grossly in the second half.
Pretty early in the recruiting calendar to judge. But I'm not going to be ok if Iowa State, Tech and K State are consistently out recruiting us....especially since that's supposed to be MB strongest attribute.
I don't disagree about the attending portion if you can. And having good energy while you are there.
But it can be difficult to cheer for poor play and apathy. The teams and fans need to feed off each other.
I do put winning, and playing with the right spirit as the premium to getting people back in GIA.
There are some good points about the gameday atmosphere. Many of the same songs/gimmicks are used that were used when I was a student there 20 years ago.
No doubt. Last season's nonconference home performances were brutal besides the Charleston game. Pretty much shut down any momentum we had from the season before. You beat Oakland, Xavier and Wichita State at home, and the conference season would have had a lot more energy given to it.
So only 1 out of your 4 tickets are generally used? That would be consistent with what you see in the rest of the 200 level.
If the team was really good, do you think your family would make more time to come to the games?
Read an article the other day where some kids aren't getting the money they were promised before transferring/signing. I guess the non-regulation goes both ways. NCAA can't hold the school accountable for something like that if "coaches/admin have nothing to do with it"
"What a performance that was vs Iowa State. Excited for Saturday vs Kansas State"
"Man, I drove an hour plus for these guys to play like that? Guess we'll go to that birthday party Saturday instead."
I would imagine it gets tough for season ticket holders when they start offering people to come for like $5 in the middle of the season. And, we still can't people to come in those scenarios at times. Like Tony said, the team has to play well enough to make people want to give up their time. Is...
No one is denying attendance across the board has dropped. But ours has been dreadful. Empty arena on television, cringeworthy. While some schools might be going from 11K to 10K average. There are levels to this.
