The reason Paul Chryst is at the top is not because he transforming lightly-recruited athletes into winners but because very recruiting analysts follow Wisconson HS football and those big OL/DL boys don't get enough stars to start with. Then they end up on NFL and everyone thinks Chryst is a genious.

Paul chryst does a tremendous job doing more with less. Turns a lot of walk on players into high nfl draft picks. One of the more underrated coaches in the country. Does a hell of a job sending LB’s to the NFL also. The list is very accurate IMO

Can you back up "Turns a lot of walk on players into high nfl draft picks" ?
Ryan Ramczyk-1st round pick New Orleans Saints
Rick Wagner- 5th round pick Detroit lions
Joe Schobert- 4th round pick cleveland browns
Jared Abbredris- 5th round pick Green Bay Packers

Pretty good number of Walk-ons and has put over 20 players in the NFL last several years. Lots of those guys not ranked or lightly recruited.

5th and 4th round aren't high draft picks, those picks do show he does develop them into NFL players but not high draft picks

You’re right...there was actually 11 in total but Paul chryst wasn’t there at the time. Still 4 walk ons into NFL draft picks is impressive. And I don’t have a problem with him being at top of the list, although the HC at Utah has an argument.

So maybe still relevant argument. How many of the Walk-ons would have been 3* if from Texas ?

So again under-rated due to lack of exposure.

and good coaching. . . . .

Naw...not due to lack of exposure...they’re some highly regarded prospects in Wisconsin. Saying if they went to a HS in Texas, they’d be ranked higher is such a lazy argument, They picked a couple 4 star lineman in the 2020 class and they have a another one in the 2021 class all in their home State. They’re ranked accordingly IMO...Wisconsin simply gets the most out of their prospects which is why they’re in the top 10 in wins in the last decade.
