It is kind of an issue. Yall bitch about her but this is someone who is clearly not a career politician and didn't buy their way into office. Regardless of political affiliation I think more people like her in Congress is a good thing. But now she has to maintain residences in two of the most expensive places to live in the country.

I'd think some sort of housing stipend for congressmen helps this but it is an issue. You want more middle class in Congress instead of the 1% then we need to make sure salary isn't an issue.
I agree with your line of thought on more people need to be elected that aren't career politicians but to the housing stipend not just no but hell no. She is about to get 170K for a part time job.....she can use left over campaign funds.....she will get thousands per speaking engagement....she can receive benefits from the national party....she will be a millionaire in less than 5 years. The apartment statement will be eaten up be her constituency but is false on many levels.

Give her a break. Look, RX, Cimarron, JohnC and WayneC, one of the most highly successful Republican women ever in the political history of Oklahoma couldn't get down all 3 branches of federal government properly. And if you could, no doubt, all of you would have voted for Fallin.

“You know, there are three branches of our government. You have the Supreme Court, the legislative branch and the people, the people and their ability to vote. So I’m hoping that we can address this issue in the legislative session and let the people of Oklahoma decide,” Gov. Mary Fallin.

Fallin deserves no breaks for her idiocy and neither does Ocasio-Cortez.

Socialist elites are not the types who usually want to "rough it"....that's for their subjects to endure.
it's the approach that they take with their legislating too.... she deserves it and somebody else should pay for it.... just like education, healthcare, and every other issue that arises.

her first piece of legislation will be free housing for legislators, and a $5,000 gift card to a high-end clothing store.

Like it or not, many Oklahomans loved and admired Fallin so much that she never lost a general election in her entire political career. Maybe her hot looks had something to do with it. I quit voting for her since her first run at governor.

I would say the lack of a main stream viable candidate was her biggest ally

I don't think anyone should be made fun of for having (insert strongly felt political belief) but if you can't get basic things down that middle schoolers are taught you deserve to be made fun of no matter your political party.

It's called the lesser of two evils and unfortunately it's the way we have to vote nowadays 90% of the time. Doesn't mean Fallin was loved and admired.

If the DNC hadn't been taking the crazy train so often that even moderate candidates are scary then the Dems may have won more local elections, including in Oklahoma.
